Sustained pressure above 80 psi stresses water heaters, supply lines, fixture fittings, and appliances, and it is a common reason for premature water heater failure and faucets that drip within a year of being repaired. Hammering pipes and a noisy water heater are the audible symptoms. A functioning pressure regulator holds the system in range. If yours has failed or was never installed, it is worth addressing before it costs you a fixture.

Washer supply valves sit under constant pressure and are among the most common sources of slow leaks behind walls and inside laundry cabinets, where nothing is visible until the drywall goes soft. Stiffness and corrosion at the valve stem are the warning. Individual valves and full washer outlet boxes get replaced, restoring clean shutoff and removing the risk of an undetected leak.

In most Arizona homes the main shutoff is near the street at the meter box, or at the exterior wall where the main line enters. Knowing which, and knowing it turns, is what separates a small leak from a flooded room. If yours has not been located or tested recently, it can be found and assessed during any service call. It costs nothing to know before you need it.
